Tribes demand MSME board and separate industrial policy in Jharkhand
Ranchi, September 24 (KNN) Tribes in Jharkhand have called for the formation of a Tribal Council of MSMEs and a separate industrial policy to increase their participation in the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
These demands were raised during the Women Entrepreneurship Development Program held on Friday.
It was organized by National SC-ST Centre, Ministry of MSMEs, Government of India, Ranchi Office in collaboration with Indian Tribal Chamber of Commerce and Industry – Mahila Koshang.
Chief Director of SC-ST National Center Kiran Maria Tiru, Head of Women’s Cell of Tikki Vasavi Kiro and Secretary of State Anima Baa of Cell Mahila along with a large number of women entrepreneurs participated in the program.
Addressing the programme, the Chief Director, Kiran Maria Tiru briefed everyone on the National SC ST Hub programs and provided information on central and state government tenders and business loans. state government and motivated women to enter business.
She said that the Ministry of MSMEs, Government of India’s Public Procurement Policy has also brought in a 3% reserve for women under this but due to the negligible number of women in business, women are not able to take advantage of this reservation by such programs.
The first priority of the department is to raise their awareness and bring them into the business world. (KNN Office)
