Summer Beauty Inspo: 9 Best Korean Star Looks

As the days get longer and warmer, there’s no denying that summer is here. And we can’t wait to see which trends our favorite K-Drama stars are loving this season. When it comes to beauty, time demands simpler, effortless looks to keep things fresh and easy while celebrities are always on the move! Korea is still in late spring which means we can see hints of floral colors. Here are some of the looks spotted in celebrity Instagrams and the latest magazine shoots:

Shiny lips

Matte lipsticks were all the rage across Korea last season, but since they can look a bit heavy, the trend has slowly faded. Nowadays, Korean beauty brands are updating their glossy lip colors and lip stains to facilitate the warmer season. Stars like Lee sung kyung, Suzy, and Bo Young Park look brighter and youthful with bright vivid undertones.

Summer waves

If there is anyone who is suitable for long wavy hair for summer, that is fine. Min Young Park. She’s been rocking this hairstyle for a while, and great! It goes well with her feminine and elegant style, and one can only imagine how beautiful her long locks look when blown in the summer wind!

Fresh and barely present makeup

Come on Min Si Currently enjoys increasing popularity not only because of her great acting skills, but also because of her natural beauty that captivates viewers. For summer, barely-there makeup is the best choice because makeup is difficult to keep in summer. Clean skin is the highlight of the no makeup look. Go Min Si had just a bit of color with subtle touches that highlight her features.

Blunt cut with bangs

Looking for a hairstyle change for the summer but scared to get that drastic cut? Try Hyeri‘s mid-cut bob with light bangs. This frames her face and gives her a chic yet effortless look.

Fresh out of his successful role in “Vincenzo”, Jeon yeo bin adopted the change with a visibly shorter cut, lighter hair color and curtain bangs. She looks much more modern and ready for summer!

Short cut

When it comes to shortcuts, Come on Jun Hee is definitely the queen. Contrary to the common perception that you can only do a few looks with short hair, she proves it by getting creative with her hair styles, whether it’s wispy, straight, wet or straight. She always looks like a crush on girls!

Hair color strands

Fancy some adventure but don’t feel like cutting your hair? Try the locks of hair! Sunmi did a shoot for Allure magazine with a hair color inspired by Disney character Cruella de Vil, which looks like the hottest movie release of the summer!

Aespa’s winter rocks this look too!

Fun nail art and colors

Summer is a great time to experiment with your look, so give your nails a fun, brighter touch! Choi Yoo Jung was recently a model for a nail polish and nail art brand, and you can take inspiration from her nail looks!

A hint of fruit colors

Tired of the typical blush? Try an unexpected color! Kwon yuri modeled for a beauty brand where her eyeshadow and blush had a subtle yellow color. This trend has been seen in the past with singer Heize and another makeup brand. This is not a new look as it is a popular retro makeup style but now that it is more subtle it can give you a fresh and unique look this summer!

Another color idea is the combination of pink and coral, which gives off a springtime vibe. Get inspired by BIBI’s collaboration with Nars Korea!

If you are not a fan of bright colors and want to stick with a classic look, then take a look ChunghaDolce & Gabbana Beauty’s latest campaign. It’s a makeup look that gives a “summer vacation in Milan” vibe.

Pointy cat eye

Summer is all about keeping your makeup routine easy, and Han Ye Seul is the master of this quick but flawless makeup combination: well-defined cat’s eye and bold lips. She made it her trademark look, and it can be perfect for day or night!
