AXEL TUANZEBE’s agent has criticized Manchester United following his client’s loan transfer to Napoli.
Fabrizio Ferrari has lashed out at Red Devils bosses, citing “confusing player management” and a lack of “policy to improve youngsters”.
Tuanzebe, 24, has been at United for almost 16 years after joining the youth ranks at the age of eight.
The defender made his first-team debut in 2017 – almost five years ago – and has been loaned out time and time again.
After loan spells at Aston Villa in 2017-18 and 2018-19, Tuanzebe began playing the part of his rare United first-team outings – keeping Kylian Mbappe silent in a 2-1 win over the Paris Saint Germain. .
But despite the seemingly shaky United defense, the one-cap former England Under-21 star was loaned to Aston Villa this summer, before being transferred again, this time to Napoli, last week.
And Agent Ferrari has now targeted the bosses of Old Trafford for their decision making.
Ferrari told Radio Punto Nuovo: “I think Manchester United have taken particular decisions for the growth of their young players…

“I don’t think they have a policy to improve their training.
“They are confusing in the management of contracted players.
“Tuanzebe reversed these changes in leadership.”
Ferrari went on to say that Tuanzebe was not a panic signing for Napoli – but rather was handpicked, as his skills aligned perfectly with Luciano Spalletti’s vision.
Regarding the deal taking the defender to Italy, Ferrari continued: “Tuanzebe has been chosen, it is not a withdrawal.
“They were looking for a structured defender but with speed in the legs, and Axel got married very well.
“He still has to express himself as much as possible but he is very strong and can be very useful in Napoli.
“Axel did not come here to do four months but to make people understand his football level, to show his characteristics …
“Then it will be up to Napoli to find the economic solution to bring Tuanzebe straight away.
“He was very happy, we talked a lot about the differences between English and Italian football.”
Meanwhile, Tuanzebe’s brother Dimitri has incredibly suggested that the United star left Aston Villa because Man Utd’s rivalry with Steven Gerrard’s former club Liverpool “had come to life”.
