Rashid Khan, Afghan cricket legend and first national team player, called on world leaders to bring peace to Afghanistan.
He said he could no longer bear to see children being killed in Afghanistan and Palestine.
“I can’t watch this anymore. I can not. Every day I see children being killed in Palestine and Afghanistan. Yes, we have to stand up for what is right, ”he tweeted.
Rashid Khan tweeted on Saturday that growing up in war, he understands the pain and fear of today’s children in besieged Afghanistan.
“I am not (a) politician but I call on all world leaders to bring peace to the region. I grew up in war and I understand the fear of children, ”the Afghan cricket star tweeted.
“The smallest act of kindness is worth more than the greatest intention,” Khan added.
Rashid Khan’s call for peace comes as international forces withdraw from Afghanistan and violence across the country rages to an extreme.
To date, more than 100,000 Afghans have been displaced as a result of violent clashes in various regions.
