A ‘Brew-tiful’ event: Two men host ‘Drinksgiving’ to raise money for Lynn families in need – Boston News, Weather, Sports

LYNN, MASS. (WHDH) – Two Lynn men crawled for a cause on Saturday, raising money to give people free Thanksgiving turkeys.

Organizers Sean Reid and Thomas Mackin invited people to join them as they toured pubs, selling tickets to raise money to provide families in need with free turkeys for the holidays.

It was the first time the men had held a “Drinksgiving” event, visiting Hibernian, Tony’s and Jade. At Rolly’s, the last pub of the evening, they also organized raffles. Tickets were sold online for the crawl, and each entry came with a “Drinksgiving” t-shirt.

Attendees were encouraged to join in to “contribute to a great cause and support amazing local businesses,” according to the event page. Reid said helping out is just Lynn’s way.

“There are a lot of people out there who are in need, and that’s what Lynn means,” Reid said. “We’re here to connect people, we’re here to support each other.”

Those who can’t join the pub crawl can still donate online.
