Eid al-Adha, Arabic: عيد الأضحى ‘Īdu l-’Aḍḥā, Festival of Sacrifice" or " Greater Eid" is a holiday celebrated by Muslims worldwide to commemorate the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God.
Eid al-Adha annually falls on the 10th day of the month of Dhul Hijja (ذو الحجة) of the lunar Islamic calendar.
It is one of the 5 pillars of Islam: These duties are Shahada (profession of faith), Salah (prayers), Zakah (giving of alms), Sawm (fasting, specifically during Ramadan) and Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). عيد الأضحى - Eid Al Adha - a photo on black
