ramadan kareem to all my dear friends
a small selection of ramadan cupcakes to welcome in this auspicious month!

left:-traditional indian ramadan soup called haleem served with coriander and lemon and crusty rolls and breads
middle:-savoury selection of chilli bites (made from herbs spices and a gram flour batter and deep fried), samoosas (mince filled triangular pastries fried in hot oil until crispy), chicken pies (puff pastry filled with savoury filling and sprinkled with sesame seeds), a chilli dipping sauce and a rose and cardomom flavoured milkshake.
right:-gold pitcher filled with "zam zam" water (holy water discovered by the Ishmael the son of Abraham in the arid valley of Makka, Saudi Arabia-the spring is still flowing all these years later. gold tray filed with dry dates , the preferred sweet food to break one's fast at sunset.
