Human Vortex

This picture was taken during the 2006/7 Hajj. It shows a scene from the "Sai" where pilgrims walk back and forth (7 times) between two hills known as Safa and Marwa. The walkway between the hills is enclosed. This picture shows the turn at the Safa end. The giant chandelier, which is suspened high up, is obscuring a "roundabout" at ground level.
