This picture was taken during the 2006/2007 Hajj. Each year more than 2 million pilgrims perform this "journey of a lifetime" to Makkah in order to perform the Hajj. The black cubic building is the Kaaba. The pilgrims are going around the Kabba in the rite known as Twaf. In the background we can see two of the minarets of the Masjid Al-Haram mosque.
