Belated Eid Mubarak and a Happy New Year!

I want to wish you all a slightly belated Eid Mubarak and a Happy New Year!
I'm late with uploading becausssse Eid is usually the busiest 'holiday' of the year. It's my first one back home in 2 and a half year, and I forgot how busy it can get! For those who don't know, Eid is the Islamic celebration or festival. There are two Eids in the year; one after the month of Ramadan, and one one the 10th day of the month of Thul-Hijjah, in the month of Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca). Both of the Eids are occasions to celebrate and spend time with family; everybody buys new clothes and kids receive money (or gifts) on Eid.
The first day of Eid starts with the Eid prayer, where everybody goes to the mosque. After that, the family has breakfast together, and then we commence with visiting everyone- and when I say everyone, I mean every single extended family member you can think of!
It's quite interesting to see how many relatives we have that we didn't know about...!
And of course, I wish the entire fickr community an excellent and inspiring 2007!
