Eid 1429 AH

Searching for the new moon of shawal, day one of which is Eid al-Fitr, the Muslim celebration at the end of the month of fasting, the month of Ramadan.

Eid means 'celebration' and al-fitr means 'to break the fast' i.e. it is the celebration of finishing the month of fasting.

Muslims around the world have a number of greetings, among my favourites is the Turkish, Sevelim Sevilelim meaning Love and be loved .
